This petition, which was drafted in 1997, asks for better enforcement of gender equality at the working place. It was filed after a brutal gang rape of a female social worker in Rajasthan. It stated that the Articles 14, 19 and 21 of the Constitution of India are constantly violated and that there is a huge problem of sexual harassment and violence of working women.
