The student association addresses problems of the existing definition of penetrative sexual assault; the characterization of free consent and the issue of passive submission. Also they focus on definitions of particular terms in the context of sexual assault; the urgent need to rework the law relating to non-penetrative sexual offences; and sentencing and punishment, covering an examination of the feasibility of various alternatives including the death penalty, chemical castration as well as a national sex offenders register. Further, aspects of compensating and rehabilitating the victim are discusses and the removal of the exception of marital sexual assault, and re-working the age of consent keeping in mind the evolving state of society.
